New product launch | EC-1830 is an epoxy curing agent suitable for water-based metal anti-rust paints and wet-contact applications

EC-1830 is a modified aliphatic amine waterborne epoxy curing agent, characterized by fast drying, high hardness, extended pot life, and excellent resistance to water, salt fog, and chemicals. It is compatible with topcoats for “wet-on-wet” applications and is particularly suitable for waterborne metal rust-preventive coatings, floor coatings, and glass coatings.

Compared to competitors, the EC-1830 has a better drying speed in the 50°C swing bar hardness test.

EC-1830 has excellent adhesion to substrates such as tinplate, stainless steel, carbon steel plate, aluminum plate, and galvanized sheet.

EC-1830 has a 1 kg forward and reverse impact ≥ 50 cm, T-bend ≥ 2T (dry film thickness: 23±3 microns)

EC-1830 initial water resistance > no abnormalities in 10 days, 40°C water resistance > 10 days without abnormalities, and 5% NaOH resistance in 15 days (dry film thickness: 45±5 microns)

EC-1830's resistance to neutral salt spray: ≥480 hours (dry film thickness: 45±5 microns)

Can be used for wet-to-wet testing of epoxy primer and polyurethane topcoat; the total dry film thickness of primer and topcoat is >85 microns, resulting in good board surface effect (process: primer flash-dried for 15 minutes, spray topcoat flash-dried for 15 minutes, baked at 70°C for 1 hour).Especially suitable for water-based metal anti-rust paints, floor paints, glass paints, and other application scenarios.
